SDRN Refinement Project
The State Digital Road Network (SDRN) is a geographical dataset that is fundamental to the information management operations of most Queensland Government agencies.
Following the implementation of the whole of government agreement for the State Digital Road Network in 2003, the Queensland Spatial Information Office is working on a refinement project to identify and remove roads within the SDRN that may not exist on the ground.
The project was established to validate the existing SDRN road centrelines, originally created by various means including the collapsing of road casements in the Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB).
In collaboration with the Queensland Department of Main Roads and MapInfo Australia, the QSIO is progressively working with local governments across Queensland to upgrade the SDRN.
