GIS in Schools (2002) - Support for and sponsorship of this pilot project by the Queensland Spatial Information Infrastructure Council (QSIIC), through its Capacity Committee, was based on recognition that such a project was in line with the QSIIS vision and objectives. The project was conducted by an industry partner and project managed by Education Queensland.

Increasing Community Capabilities (2001) - On behalf of the QSIIC Capabilities Committee, the Department of Natural Resources and Mines prepared a discussion paper regarding the level of capability in the community of the use and understanding of spatial information and associated technologies.
